JEF PEETERS

Prof. Dr. Ing. MSc. Jef Peeters holds two master’s degrees: one in industrial management from KU Leuven and one in industrial design from University College Howest in Kortrijk. He obtained a personal scholarship from the Flemish Government and defended his PhD in 2016. Since October 2020, he is Assistant Professor and Co-chair of the Life Cycle Engineering research group at the department of Mechanical Engineering. He is responsible for the Re- and Demanufacturing Lab, with state of the art robotic and computer vision systems for autonomous and human-robot cooperative robotic demanufacturing, product condition evaluation, vision based robotic sorting and material characterization.
